Dutchess Community College Alumni 1980-1989 Class Year Gift
On October 11-15, 1982 DCC celebrated the 35th Anniversary of the College with a Silver Tree Planting and reception, Judging of Mascot Entries and announement of Mascot Winners, Soccer Game on the Athletic Field, Alumni Association Reception, Opening of Juried Art Show and Dinner Dance with music by the DCC Jazz Ensemble. After serving from 1972-1982 John Connolly leaves as DCC president and Dr. Jerry A. Lee becomes DCCs third president. There were 32 student clubs on campus. The Executive Retailing Club organizes the annual fashion show with student and faculty models. The Business Club took a fieldtrip to the Stock Market & Commodities Exchange in New York City. The Masquers Guild produced "Picnic"(1981) and "Othello"(1982). In 1988, the DCC South Center in Wappingers Falls was established.
