The Pantry Matching Gift Challenge - Share the Love Event
Dutchess United Educators Community Service Committee is proud to host a fundraiser to benefit the clients of The Pantry at Dutchess Community College. The Pantry at DCC stocks nutritious food and personal care items for campus community members and their families. DUE is supporting The Pantry with a matching grant of up to $1,750.00. This means that your generous gift to The Pantry will go twice as far in assisting your DCC community.
A friendly, no-judgment zone staffed by volunteers, The Pantry is supported by several campus organizations and the generous donations from faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. The Pantry provides a 3-day supply of food and personal care items for the most vulnerable members of our campus community.
Launched in 2020, the Backpack Program has grown into a vital source of support, providing weekend meals and snacks to children and families at the Louis Greenspan Daycare Center, helping ensure access to nutritious food. Expanding on this mission, the Clothing Closet was established in 2021 to offer professional and everyday clothing, children's apparel and accessories - helping students and staff feel prepared and confident as they work toward their goals. In Summer 2024, the Pantry Garden flourished into a vibrant space for nourishment and learning, collaborating with the Green Teen program to supply fresh produce while empowering students through hands-on-experiences in farming, nutrition and leadership.
Any amount that you can donate is greatly appreciated and can help to make a difference in the lives of many right here on campus.
Sincerely,
DUE Community Service Committee
