Make a Gift to the E-TECH Program

What's the E-TECH Model?

Participants in the innovative E-TECH program begin studies the summer before entering ninth grade, and take high school and college courses simultaneously while working with engineering professionals. The program is rigorous and requires the support and involvement of parents and families as the student moves through the coursework.

How many students participate?

Fifty students are accepted into the program each year, which will bring the total enrollment to 300 in six years. Two cohorts are now moving through the program; the retention rate for the first class was an impressive 98%! The companies involved in the E-TECH partnership are cultivating their future workforce and will give graduates of the program preference in hiring when possible.

How can I support E-TECH?

The E-TECH program is grant-funded, and therefore provided at no cost to the students. However, additional funds are required for essential supplies to support many of the economically disadvanteged students in the program. A gift from you can help deserving students take full advantage of this amazing opportunity.

Every donation to this fund is important, and has the power to change lives for generations. Thank you for your generosity and for sharing our commitment to help motivated City of Poughkeepsie students.
