Black Box Theatre
Dutchess Community College is expanding its support of the performing arts on campus with the addition of a new black box theatre. Please consider a gift to support this dynamic performance space that will serve as a laboratory theatre for experimental and intimate productions that connect audience members with artists in an uninterrupted way.
The Flexible arrangement of the Black Box allows allow for thrust staging, theatre-in-the-round, environmental staging, or traditional proscenium productions. The new theatre also will include a tech booth with contemporary sound and light control, as well as state-of-the-art LED lighting instruments throughout. This will make an ideal location for intimate productions including dramas, plays, cabaret performances, student recitals, theatre classes, and of course, all sorts of Masquers' Guild Theatre Club activities!
