The Pantry and The Clothing Closet

The Pantry at DCC stocks nutritious food and personal care items for campus community members and their families. A friendly, no-judgment zone staffed by volunteers, The Pantry is supported by several campus organizations and the generous donations from faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. The Pantry provides a 3-day supply of food and personal care items for the most vulnerable members of our campus community. 

Starting in the fall of 2020, The Pantry began serving 10 families each week at the Childcare Center through the new Backpack Program initiative.  Every Friday, Pantry volunteers fill up 10 backpacks with nutritious food, providing breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for each student over the weekend.

In April 2021, DCC created The Clothing Closet to provide professional attire as well as casual wear and children's clothing for members of the DCC community. If you would like to donate professional attire, gently used footwear, accessories, plastic storage bins or hangers please email dccf@sunydutchess.edu. All items must be laundered/dry cleaned prior to donating.

Any amount that you can donate is greatly appreciated and can help to make a difference in the lives of many right here on campus.

>$25-provides a 3-day supply of food and hygiene for 5 families OR a weekend of meals and snacks for 10 childcare center students
>$50-provides a 3-day supply of food and hygiene for 10 families OR two weekends of meals and snacks for 10 childcare center students
>$100-provides a 3-day supply of food and hygiene for 20 families OR 1 month of weekend meals and snacks for 10 childcare center students
>$200-provides a 3-day supply of food and hygiene for 40 families OR 2 months of weekend meals and snacks for 10 childcare center students
>$1000-provides Holiday Meals for 40 families
>$5,000- provide food and hygiene items for all families and weekend meals served by The Pantry for childcare center students during a semester!
